Podcasts: GNU Radio with Ben Hilburn + New Signals and Bits Episodes

The Scanner School Podcast has recently released a new episode featuring an interview with Ben Hilburn, President of the GNU Radio project. If you want to understand what GNU Radio is, and what role it plays in the SDR/radio world, then this is a good listen.

Hanselminutes is a weekly podcast that aims to promote fresh technology and fresh voices to software developers. Last Friday they interviewed Ben Hilburn who is the project lead and president of the GNU Radio Foundation and Director of Engineering at DeepSig Inc who are working on combining deep learning with the signal processing. In the podcast Ben talks briefly about a broad range of topics like spectrum scarcity issues, different SDR hardware, basic SDR fundamental concepts, multipath, GPS, RF security, analogue vs digital and more. Scanner School Podcast Talks SDR Topics with Signals Everywhere Host

Recently Scanner School released episode 70 of their podcast, and on this episode they talk about various SDR topics with Corrosive from the Signals Everywhere YouTube channel. If you follow out blog, you'll know that Corrosive is a YouTuber that is consistently putting out high quality YouTube videos on a range of SDR and other radio related topics.

Corrosive from the SignalsEverywhere YouTube channel has recently released episode two of his new podcast. This episode is titled "Common SDR Mistakes and How to Resolve Them". In the podcast Corrosive discusses some tips like how to ensure that the gain on your SDR is set correctly, how to set the sample rate, how to optimize the waterfall display, and what antennas to use. Later he goes on to talk about our RTL-SDR Blog V3 dongles, and discusses some posts from our blog.

Corrosive from the SignalsEverywhere YouTube channel is starting up a radio/SDR related podcast, and today has released episode one. The podcast is 22 minutes long, and in that time he discusses Es-hail-2, a geosynchronous satellite with an amateur radio transponder that was recently launched and activated, some of his favorite recent posts from our blog here at RTL-SDR.com, including posts about a 3D printed V-Dipole holder, Radwave RF Analyzer, cloning 433 MHz devices, and finally he ends the podcast by discussing the question of what SDR is right for you.
